Spokane’s Sobering Reality: Impaired Drivers in Fatal Crashes

This chart shows just how much impaired driving continues to impact our community.

2015: 12
2018: 2 (lowest)
2021: 11 (highest year in between)
2024: 12 (back to the same high as 2015)

📉 While there have been some positive years, the numbers are climbing again — a clear reminder that impaired driving is still a major threat on Spokane’s roads.

✅ Our reminder to Spokane drivers:

Never drive under the influence of alcohol, ma*****na, or drugs.
Always plan a safe ride home.
Step in if a friend tries to drive impaired.

Whether you're behind the bus or approaching from the opposite direction on a two-lane road — it’s the law.
