Well, that didn't go as planned... the little American is down for the count! Had a bad vibration we attributed to flat spots on the tires, that turned out to be a bad u-joint. BANG! Front u-joint exploded, damaging the tailshaft but thankfully nothing else. Manual winch and sweet wife to the rescue. Anyone know where to find a tailshaft for a Flash-o-matic?

Exciting news!! After two, almost three years of ownership, I've finally got the kinks worked out of the Marlin! Turns out, a certain parts store had been selling me the wrong coil the whole time. Amazing how well this old girl runs when it finally has a hot enough spark! Two weeks down, and I've put almost 200 trouble free miles on her! I'd call it fixed.

Night on the Town

67°F in February is pretty rare in Ohio, so we took the opportunity to bust out the American and go on a picnic in the next town over. Of course, no adventure into town is complete with a stop at a feed and seed (something about Guinea pig water bottles?) No matter, an empty parking lot makes for compelling pictures.
