The flight day turned out to be an eighteen hour experience, delays, running at full speed to catch our flight in DFW, only to watch our plane sit at our gate once we arrived there, with the door locked and no one to help us get in. Then waiting for four hours in an airport to catch the next one, and get to our airport at midnight.

Some of our teams families been evacuated while they were gone, have family members whose neighbors houses have burned and family members who have lost homes.

And we had no ability to help while we were gone. That was tough for our team who are dads, sons, nephews and daugthers of people back home going through a lot.

The shop may be running at partial capacity, our first day back, as we adjust to support what matters most to us - our people.

Please bear with us and allow us all a little grace today, while we settle back in during this difficult time for all.

Our hearts are with our community and we support you!

After seeing the Washington monument we took a walk over to the aerospace museum of the Smithsonian.

It was a great walk, and we enjoyed the sites we saw along the way. We had somebody take a group photo of us, and then we all spent a few hours looking at all the exhibits.

Jeff and I stopped at the room of flight with the Wright Brothers and learned a lot about how they started with bicycles.
