BEST FOR BESS RACE INFORMATION:

ARRIVAL & SETUP:
Trailer setup and parking is open Thursday starting at 6pm. There are designated parking spots for vehicles and trailers. See the parking/pit plan image.

Pit Setup: You can begin setting up your pit Thursday evening as well. Note: There are designated trailer parking and pit areas for Sponsors, VIPs, and Track Committee. All other areas are open.

PRACTICE & QUALIFYING:
Friday: Open Practice from 10am - 8pm. If practice lines get long, we may move to controlled practice to ensure everyone gets adequate track time.

Saturday: Pits open at 7:30am. Late registrations (if spots available) open until 8:30am.

Practice/Seeding Round 1 begins at 9:00 am. Your top 3 consecutive laps will be used.

Qualifying Rounds 2-4 will be IFMAR points scoring with your best 2 of 3 counting.

We’re looking at about 18 heats per round conservatively which means we may be running under the lights Saturday. Prepare accordingly.

Sunday: Pits open at 7:30am. Mains will start at 9:00am. We will post mains as soon as possible after qualifying is complete.

Trophy presentations will be after mains are finished.

OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS:
Vehicle Parking: Please adhere to the designated parking areas.

Power: If you have a generator, bring it. Track is powered, but with only 3 circuits, 76 racers, the shack, track lights, air compressor and god knows what else, it might get really interesting. Be prepared.

Transponders: All, but 3-Wire transponders work. We do have some house transponders that can be used but not many.

Food: There will be a food truck on-site Saturday and Sunday for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

This will be the largest race we’ve ever put on. And most importantly, it’s for a great cause. Though he was a competitor, Stephen always tried to make the races he attended fun for everyone involved. So the mandate for everyone is to HAVE FUN AND BRING YOUR BEST FOR BESS!!!!

Awesome week! Lots of progress and new developments.

1) New layout is in. Lots of jumps and not too technical for new racers. Being that we’re a young club it’s perfect.

2) Adam and Ronda Drake are confirmed for the Best For Bess race in two weeks. It looks like they will be hosting a clinic the evening of Friday June 5th (see image below). If you ever wanted to get some racing and engine tuning advice from a pro, now is your chance. Go to the Peak View Racers page and let Andrew Foland know you’re interested.

3) Best For Bess is 2 weeks away. Open practice is Friday June 5. Get signed up. Last check were 48 entries away from the cap. Sign up at www.bestforbess.com
