Is your engine cooling fan doing its job?
Your cooling fan helps control engine temperature by pulling air through the radiator, especially when the vehicle is idling or moving slowly. On many newer vehicles, the fan is electric, while many older models use a mechanical fan driven by the engine.
Common symptoms of a failing cooling fan:
Engine temperature running higher than normal
Overheating in traffic or at idle
Cooling fan not turning on
Loud fan noise or wobble
Check Engine Light on some vehicles
Weak air conditioning performance at low speeds
A failing cooling fan can quickly lead to high engine temperatures, poor cooling performance, and more expensive repairs if ignored.
Keep your cooling system working properly before heat turns into damage.
