A name is more than just a sign on a building โ€” itโ€™s a story, a legacy, and a reminder of the people who helped build it.

Before becoming the owner of Sutton-Kauffman, AJ was a technician at the shop, working alongside the same team and carrying on the tradition of quality automotive service. When the owner at the time, Randy Gee, was ready to retire, he approached AJ about the opportunity to purchase the business.

The story goes even further back. When Randy originally purchased the business from Ray Kauffman, he was also a technician at Sutton-Kauffman. Like AJ, he knew the value of hard work, dedication, and serving the community. ๐Ÿ”ง

After many conversations, AJ and Carmen officially purchased Sutton-Kauffman in 2022 with a dream of building a legacy for their kids while continuing the tradition that started generations before them. โค๏ธ

AJ made the decision to keep the Sutton-Kauffman name out of respect for the family who originally built the business and the impact theyโ€™ve had on this community. He believes itโ€™s important to honor the past and recognize those who have paved the way.

This year marks 3 years since we lost Ray Kauffman. His legacy continues to live on through the name, the business, and the many lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Ray. โค๏ธ
