For anyone that came by the shop on a Thursday morning to participate in “Uncle Gerry Donut Day” we regret to inform you after a three year battle with lung cancer, he passed away Saturday afternoon peacefully with his wife and one of his sons by his side. It would take more paragraphs than anyone's willing to read in order to write about the huge, positive influence he had on everyone in the family and anyone that knew him in the US Army (1960-66),at J&R Auto Repair, Annunciata church, BSA Scout Troop 773, Nalco Chemical, St John parish and many other places.
Heaven must’ve needed the Big Guns called out for some old Mopar brakes or Hank and Roger may have needed him to tune up a golf cart. Whatever it may have been, his Earthly body is no longer suffering.
The wake is this Thursday 2/28 from 3 - 8pm at Elmwood Chapel 11300 W. 97th lane. (1/2 blk west of US 41) St John, IN
Funeral will be Friday morning starting 9am at Elmwood.
