As we come to the end of warmer weather many of you use this transition to remind you to service your machines. Life gets busy, things come up, sometimes we even forget or you remembered but your local dealer may tell you it could be awhile before it can be done..... whatever the case we can help you out and save you time by getting the maintenance done on your machine for you. Oil changes, brakes, transmission/differential fluids, batteries or maybe even in need of new tires...We offer many maintenance services and options to keep your machine running.

Here is a prime example. This customer had his machine serviced by us back in early spring. He uses it year round on his property so he knew he was ready to have it serviced. Our "go to" brand of fluids is Maxima Racing Oils. For SxS they make great oil change kits that include your oil, filter and o-rings/gaskets. So we got him oil changed, checked his suspension components out, air filter, tie-rods and also we make sure to perform battery tests during the service. his machine checked out good across the board. So he's now ready to take care of all the fall leave yard work and plowing once that snow falls.....

While here we also swapped out a switch for his winch that was improperly cut and was falling out of the dash. We were able to get a "factory style" winch switch that fit properly into his dash bezel. Gives a much cleaner look and also he won't have to worry about it falling out anymore...

Can-Am Defender owners! This one is for you!!

This was a returning customer looking to have a few things he had purchased installed along with a set of pod lights from us to add some aux lighting to his machine.

First up was a great piece from TRAIL ICON. (https://trailicon.com) They have a great selection of quality products designed specifically for Defenders and Ranger 1500 machines. But they are focused on expanding to more!! This console arm rest is hands down probably one of the best options to add a little more comfort into your Defender. The fold down drink holder sure is good.. but you can't really use is as an arm rest because for many it is too low and it's all plastic. But you have that beautiful padded cushion just on the other side... Well, Trail Icon figured out a great solution. This piece allows you to flip your center piece in either configuration and allows you to adjust the height. It fits great and works well. Now you can take full advantage of either option and more!!

Then he also added security transport locks from Oxbow Fab. As many of you Defender owners know it is somewhat common to potentially have either of your doors open while transporting on open trailers. These locks protect that from happening and even offer a pod light mount position as well that this customer took advantage of.

We got him setup with a pair of Auxbeam.com 3" Floods up front to work in conjunction with his other spot beam pods on his bumper. Added in a factory styled rocker switch to keep it all looking original and OEM. The whole install went quite smooth and has it looking ready to take on anything from the trail in comfort or the tow to get it there!!

This job turned into a bit more than expected but it all worked out. Initially it was to wire up his cab and bumper valance lights that the customer had installed but wanted the wiring done right. So he brought it over and I got to work. Had to pull most of the headliner down to get access to the cab marker connections to be able to get them wired up. That was expected and not to bad.

For the front valance lights getting to the parking light circuit wire to allow them to operate was a bit trickier than I had expected. Had to pull the driver side headlight and what a crazy design Ford has there to do that. It wasn't horrible, just seemingly quite a bit of work to allow bulb replacement or in my case getting to wiring connections that needed to be made.

And while it was here he asked if I could do anything to get the factory badging to stand out a bit more as it's only just stamped into the hood and tailgate. Normally car graphics are not our thing here (mainly more towards ATV/UTV wraps) but was a project I was willing to take on. In the end it all worked out and what a difference the lights and inlays made for this truck!! Looks ready to do some serious work now!!!

In the spirit of the month what better way to showcase this job!! This customer sought me out because of audio work I had done for her before at my previous employer. She was bummed to find out I was no longer there when it came time for her to upgrade the audio in her new to her Jeep Wrangler. But she was able to do some diligent searching and was able to find me. More importantly she was happy to know I was still installing and that I could help her out with her audio needs.

So, that all being said I'd like to introduce to you the Vinland V13WR109N 9" custom fit radio for your 18-23 Wranglers and 19-23 Gladiators. This radio is a great update to your rig. With full OEM retention capabilities like steering wheel controls, HVAC, backup camera and vehicle settings (disclaimer, additional parts are needed to allow full integration) this unit looks great, fits great and sounds great!! It also has wireless Android Auto/Carplay connectivity and so much more!!

This X3 was back under the knife again to add a Tango 2 Turn Signal kit from SSV Works along with a Kemimoto shock tower light bar. The SSV Works Tango 2 universal kit comes with markers for both the front and rear of the machine, a full RGB adjustable backlight rocker switch and horn. This kit gives you turn signals, hazards and horn all in 1 rocker switch location!!! It's also compatible with most other turn marker lights in the event if you wanted to use a different style marker light as well.

The Kemimoto shock tower light bar mount bolts in to existing bolt locations and provides a great mounting option for many 10"-14" mini light bars. This install went super smooth and it came out looking super clean and factory..

This X3 was back for some more goodies!!!

It's a 2021 and still had the original battery...but after 5 years it decided to tap out so got him setup with a new MotoBatt battery with higher cranking power and more reserve capacity. In addition we added a set of whipless lights from Xprite Offroad & Lighting. Sadly I didn't have the opportunity to get any images of them lighting up the nights sky but I assure you they are pretty sweet!!!

Another piece that was installed was a switch controller from Auxbeam.com. This rig pretty much had all the factory switch locations filled up. The switch controllers from Auxbeam.com offer several options from 4-12 integrated soft switches allowing to control multiple devices/equipment even if you have no spots left in your machines dash.

Last we added a 30" chase light from Kemimoto. This whole unit is controlled right from the switch controller. Allowing it to power on, trigger the white reverse light and cycle through all the different chase light patterns.

Clutch kits in my opinion are in the top 5 things you should consider doing to any machine. They can help provide smoother, less jerky starts. They improve belt grip (which helps with preventing belt slip and can prolong belt life). They provide better and more consistent throttle response especially in your mid to higher rpm ranges (where OEM clutching typically feels sluggish and unresponsive) and for those of you that like the performance side of these machines will also get better/faster acceleration as well.

Now, not all of things may be something that interests you. And that's ok. But clutch kits ultimately help your machine perform better and more importantly can help prolong belt life and prevent belt slippage which is always a concern with CVT style transmissions. Now, on the flip side there is still proper research you should do to find what kit/manufacturer you trust to install into your machine. Not all kits are created equal....

With all that being said this customer had purchased a clutch kit for one other reason that I had not mentioned yet...... They upgraded to a bigger sized tire than what came factory on his machine. He stated that it felt like all the power the machine had was cut in half once he put the new tires on.

The other big thing clutch kits can help with is exactly this. When changing tire sizes it changes the overall gear ratio's of the machine. That change effects how the clutching operates. With a proper clutch kit you can help bring that "power" back to your machine. Now there are limitations to how big a tire you can go where a clutch kit can help correct some of that change. They can't fix and improve every scenario but they can cover a large percentage of them.

This particular kit was from Dalton and after hearing back from the customer he was very happy with the difference it made. During the install I didn't just take out the old parts and put in the new ones. I went through and did a thorough cleaning of the clutches themselves, inspected clutch parts, resurfaced the sheave faces, polished up the weight arm pins and installed the new clutch kit components.

This was a quick job but what a difference it made in the looks department!!! This Camaro is in really nice shape but the factory headlights were looking rough.....all faded and yellowing. The customer had tried one of the "headlight restore" kits but said it really didn't make that great of an improvement and felt that they got worse after a short period of time. Now, I don't sell headlight replacement assemblies but he asked if he got new ones if I could install them for him. Not a problem!! So we made an appt time and got them swapped out. Now this Camaro is looking super clean and sharp again!!!
