2026 Showdown Rules for South Bend Motor Speedway, September 12th, 2026
Hornet Class- Same rules as Plymouth Motor Speedway, Breakout time is 14.8
ABC 4 Cylinder Rules
Hoosier Tires 790 795s or radials
Body Rules: Nothing wider than 76 Inches and nothing Taller than the roof – All verticals and spoilers must be clear material. If no roof arm restraints are mandatory
**Any 4 Cylinder FWD OR Mini Stock **
Factory Ford Class- Same rules as Plymouth Motor Speedway
Street Stock Class- Same rules as Plymouth Motor Speedway
Hoosier Tire 800s, 890s or American Racers treaded Street Stock tire can be used
ABC Open V8 RWDs Rules
Cast iron blocks, 2700 lbs. before qualifying/features, No left side weight rule.
Max 8” steel or aluminum safety wheels with Dry Sump. 10” max wheels with Wet Sump
Tire: Hoosier 980. Will also allow Hoosier 970, 880, 800, D800 or F-70’s.
Body Rules: Max front and rear overhangs of 48”, Max width of 84”, Max Verticals 44"
No verticals can interfere with driver’s side window opening
All spoilers and verticals must be clear material.
Officials’ decisions are final.
Drivers are responsible for the actions of their crew during the entire weekend.

14 Cars per Feature Race
8 cars per heat race - Heat races will pay EVERY Spot
UP TO 14 CARS MAX PER FEATURE, HOWEVER, IF THE TIME DIFFERENCE IS TOO MUCH THE FEATURE CAR COUNT WILL BE ADJUSTED AS NEEDED SO THAT IT IS FAIR FOR EVERYONE. THERE WILL BE NO RAIN DATE, IF RAIN COMES AFTER HEAT RACES IT WILL BE CONSIDERED A COMPLETED SHOW. DRIVERS THAT DO NOT RACE A FEATURE WILL ONLY RECEIVE THEIR PIT PASS MONEY BACK PLUS ANYTHING THEY EARNED IN THEIR HEAT RACE. ANY DRIVER THAT RACED IN A FEATURE WILL RECEIVE THE PAY THEY EARN.
