NOW HIRING! We are in need of a porter for our Chevy/CDJR store, Sour Lake Motor Company. This individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks including occasionally driving a customer home from dropping off a vehicle for service (close by), sweeping up our shop floors and cleaning spills, picking up debris etc. You would also do some light housekeeping duties like vacuuming a few rugs, cleaning up spills in shop and showroom and the like. Position will also require ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, use pallet jacks or dolly to move cargo. Also may be required to test drive customer vehicles as needed to verify a potential issue and/or to test drive vehicles after repair to ensure repair is complete and issue is resolved. May be called on rarely to wash a car if we need the help in the car wash. You will spend a majority of your work hours outside walking long distances around our complex and be inside our shop so you will be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Experience around vehicles and repair facilities is a big plus. I have no potential applicants to fit this position and I'm ready to fill this position ASAP. This job will pay $12/hour to start, time and a half for overtime, and will be a full-time position working Monday-Friday 7am till 6pm (50 work hours with 1 hour lunch break daily) with benefits available including employer sponsored health insurance with employer paying 1/2 of the individual employees premium, a free $10,000 term life insurance policy, 1 week paid vacation after 1 year and 2 weeks after 3 years.
