Here’s something interesting for you Evo guys.

It seems a lot of people are switching out their oem engines with ones from the JDM Airtek after their engine has a failure. This customer recently came in for a fluid change and timing belt and water pump, and other maintenance items. When doing the oil fill we noticed 5qts didn’t even show on the dipstick. Neither did 5.5qts. Something was wrong here. So after some investigating we found the previous owner who did the swap used an Airtek dipstick tube with an oem evo dipstick which is much shorter than the Airtek one. After replacing the dipstick tube with an evo 8 one the customer can now tell their actual oil level.
