2018 marked the 50th anniversary of the Hot Wheels cars, and Chevrolet marked the occasion with the 50th Anniversary Hot Wheels Edition Camaro as part of the 6th Generation Camaro. A $4995 option that could be added to a 2LT or the 2SS, Hardtop or Convertible and came in the exclusive color of “Orange Crush”, which looked identical to the orange track the 1/18th scale cars ran on. The cars were also identified by the flamed Hot wheels logo on the Grill and deck lid, as well as fender badges. Special edition 20” inch wheels also highlighted the orange disc brake calipers. The interiors all came in black with embordered Hot wheels logos on the seats, and special Hot Wheels logos on the door sills, and bright orange seat belts. Total production was 1,861.
This Camaro is number #86 built out of all Hot Wheel cars with only 241 convertibles produced in the US! To set this Camaro even further apart this Hot Wheels edition was an official Indianapolis 500 Festival Event Car on May 19th and drove in the parade with driver Zach Veach. We have all documentation proving that this Camaro SS 50th Hot Wheels edition is a true piece of modern automobile history with only 51 made.
