Busy day at KPU!

Fall undercoating is officially in full swing, and we’re keeping the shop busy protecting Alaska’s rigs from the elements.

Today we had a customer make the trip up from Anchorage with a brand-new Jeep Moab equipped with the legendary 392 HEMI V8.

He opted for our Premium Clear Woolwax Package, giving this Jeep protection inside the frame, body cavities, rockers, and all the hard-to-reach areas where moisture and salt like to hide.

We also had a 20’ equipped trailer in the shop getting fully protected and sealed up for the long haul.

LOOK AT THIS GEM — 1995 LAND CRUISER

This customer uses this beast to explore everything Alaska has to offer, so when it came time to protect it, they wanted to go all in with our Woolwax Permanent Hard-On coating.

And we delivered.

We spent nearly 10 hours needle-gunning the entire frame, removing years of built-up corrosion and old coating. During the process, we found roughly three different layers of previous undercoating that had been applied throughout the Cruiser’s life.

We stripped away everything we could and properly prepared the frame before applying our permanent coating.

THE PROTECTION PROCESS

First, the entire undercarriage received our Woolwax “Salt Buster” neutralizing wash.

Then came the extensive prep and coating process:

• Nearly 10 hours of needle-gunning
• Removal of old, failing undercoating
• Woolwax Permanent Hard-On coating
• Internal panel fogging
• Doors & rocker panels fogged
• Inside frame rails treated
• Behind the taillights treated

Prep is absolutely key before any coating is applied.
