TRANSMISSION TROUBLE? WE’RE ON IT!

We’ve got another vehicle in the shop that came in with a frustrating transmission issue: it was going into gear but wouldn’t shift past 1st gear.

Our technicians got to work diagnosing the problem:
🔹 The overdrive switch is not functioning.
🔹 The transmission fluid level is correct, but the fluid temperature only reached about 140°F after being run hard.
🔹 The vehicle’s OBD2 port was also not functioning.
🔹 We also found damage to the transmission filter, which could be contributing to the shifting problem.

Our next steps include removing the transmission valve body, replacing the damaged filter, refilling the fluid, and testing the system again. We also believe the issue may be related to the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

This is a great example of why proper diagnostics matter! We don’t just throw parts at a problem—we take the time to test, inspect, and find the cause.
