This week we traveled to I-90 Speedway—and somehow managed to be fast and awful at the same time! Video link in comments.
We started the night third quick in hot laps, and the car showed plenty of speed. That put us on the outside of the front row for the heat race, but one huge driver mistake sent us spinning all by ourselves.
After rebuilding the side of the car, we made a few setup adjustments before the feature. Those changes paid off—the car was finally balanced, comfortable, and working well.
We started 14th and drove back to a 9th-place finish. The car had even more speed than the result showed, but the driver needed to do a better job behind the wheel.
The speed is there, the balance is getting closer, and now it’s time to put together a complete night!
