The Midwest Regional Hot Rod Rally is returning to Moville for its eighth year!

Join car enthusiasts from across the region on September 11 and 12 at the Woodbury County Fairgrounds. The weekend features a cruise, garage tours, mini-bike racing, a freestyle motorcycle stunt show, burnout contest, dirt drags, live music, food vendors, awards, and more.

Spectator admission is free. Vehicle registration and the full schedule are available at midwesthotrodrally.com.

In “Pontiac Pride: A Story of Family and Friendship,” Ingrid Hayward shares the story behind Mick and Gayle Even’s one-of-a-kind 1953 Pontiac Chieftain Convertible. What began as a project between Mick and his longtime friend John Britton became something even more meaningful after John passed away.

Six years of work and the talents of several friends brought the Chieftain back to life, blending its classic character with modern performance, custom craftsmanship, and personal details. For Mick, it’s more than a beautiful car. It carries a piece of his story and a friendship that will continue with it for years to come.

A piece of automotive history that was worth the wait.

In “A Long Pause For 4 Wheels,” Bob Schmeichel shares the story of Larry Snitjer’s remarkably original 1932 Lincoln KA Five-Passenger Sedan. With only a little over 10,000 original miles, this classic spent decades carefully preserved before eventually making its way to Sioux Falls.

Larry’s winning bid brought the Lincoln home in 2025, where he discovered just how special it really was, right down to its original paint, interior, engine, hoses, fan belt, and more. Now, he has plans to share this rare survivor at upcoming car shows.
