I guess after a little more than two years of having my name on the title, “Addy’s 87” is officially mine.

It’s bittersweet. She’s off to college in a couple months in her new Mazda, and although it will garner zero of the stares, waves, smiles, finger points, videoing, picture taking, and just general attention grabbing that the GMC generated in our small town, it’s a rig that will provide peace of mind to parents of a kiddo who’ll be now living an hour away.

I am forever thankful for the bond it created between her and me. I hope it’s created as many core memories for her as it has for myself. I still remember the day I “just kidding, but seriously” suggested a square as your first vehicle and you said “yeah!”

I’m proud of you, kid. The future is bright. The opportunities are endless.

So. Are we thinking one ton and 39.5” Boggers now? It’s crossed my mind.
