Any vehicle owner late in getting their vehicle inspected, beyond one year from the last inspection, will no longer receive a sticker displaying the month of the new inspection.

Let's try this again...We are open and able to complete state inspections. Below please find the list of extensions granted by the RMV.

Inspection Sticker Extensions

The RMV is extending a grace period for specific motor vehicle inspection requirements. The requirements are outlined below and include an extension that now allows vehicle owners with expired March 2021 and April 2021 inspection stickers to have through May 31, 2021 to obtain inspections. The RMV is working in close partnership with the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, the Massachusetts State Police, and other stakeholders to mitigate the impacts of the outage.

The RMV has advised law enforcement that compliance with the safety/emissions inspection requirement has not been possible since March 30, in light of the outage caused by the malware attack against Applus.

Motor vehicles with expired inspection stickers from March 2021 (“3” sticker on windshield) and April 2021 (“4” sticker on windshield) are extended until May 31, 2021, to obtain an inspection.
Newly purchased vehicles registered on or after Tuesday, March 23, 2021, should be granted until April 30, 2021, to obtain an inspection. Newly purchased vehicles must typically be inspected within seven (7) days of registration.
Customers who recently had an inspection rejection and are in the 60-day free retest window will be afforded one extra day for each day Applus’s system remains unavailable but should plan to facilitate their inspection as soon as possible once the system is restored and stations are online.

EDITED: Unfortunately, our State Inspection system is still down. Some of our equipment isn't operating properly. This problem is NOT throughout the entire state. It is an individual station issue.

Our state inspection system is back up and running.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

State Inspections will be down today, Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

Yesterday the company that runs the state inspection system experienced a system outage that forced them to shut down testing in Massachusetts, as well other programs across the country.
They are currently working on solving the problem however, they do expect the state inspection system to be down for the majority, if not entire day today.
They have stated that law enforcement has been notified that inspections are unable to take place and to give the consideration due on April 1, 2021.

It is with heavy heart that we announce that our beloved Duke has passed away. Duke was a special friend to everyone who knew him...which was everyone who ever came into the garage. He knew no strangers. He loved everyone. Especially if they had a cookie or a belly scratch for him. He was the heart of our lives and will be missed beyond words.
