Majors take a variety of courses in the areas of logistics management, forecasting, purchasing, inventory management, production management, quality assurance, scheduling, information management, and customer service. Ship graduates with a supply chain management background can find employment in a wide range of occupational specialties. Salaries for recent graduates in supply chain programs, acco

rding to several surveys, rank near the top among the various business majors. Supply chain management also plays a central role in the global economy. Many job opportunities are available which involve developing and maintaining the international supply chain. This course of study also prepares students for certification as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). Logistics Management Concentration
Logistics management is the backbone of all distribution systems for goods and services. Students earning their BSBA in Supply Chain Management can specialize their degree with a concentration in Logistics Management. Logistics management is the second largest employment sector in the United States and offers excellent salaries, opens doors, and provides advancement opportunities to the prospective manager in countries around the world. Career paths start with general entry level positions such as logistics analyst, transportation supervisor, and inbound materials scheduler and can lead to upper-level management positions in areas such as corporate logistics or materials managers, business development or operations site manager, and vice president positions in logistics, or operations and manufacturing.

Hello Everyone hope your summers are going well!

I know the spring semester is almost a full month past, but i would like to take this time to thank everyone for making the semester great. I know it was a fun year for all of us club managers and I am confident that everyone else enjoyed it too. The CSCMP dinners and even APICS dinners were both well attended and really represented Shippensburg University well.

Whether you currently have a summer internship, have graduated, or are just enjoying your summer, we certainly congratulate you and wish you the best!

**One final summer note, Friday July 10th at 9:00am the First Annual Joanne Tucker Memorial SCM Golf Outing will take place at Eagles Crossing in Carlisle. To participate, it is 40$/person which includes various food, drink, and adult beverages for those of age. Contact Nancy Thomas at [email protected] to sign up. This is a GREAT chance to reconnect with professors, fellow colleagues, especially friends that have graduated from Ship SCM, etc. Hope to see as many of you there as possible!

If anyone has any questions about anything from SCM classes, to internships or jobs, or anything related don't hesitate to comment or directly contact the club! Have a great rest of the summer and we'll let you know of any news!

Hey everyone we had a big week as far as representing the Shippensburg scm club to outsiders. First we had a great experience with the elementary school kids Tuesday (pictures posted on this page). They were very energetic and loved it! The cscmp dinner led by Dr Hwang was also a great success Wednesday as we were able to network, eat great food, and even if so desired enjoy a few adult beverages at the bar right next to the meeting room. All in all, it was a fantastic week for the supply chain club here as we really continue to make our mark on the scm community throughout the region. Next meeting is Thursday (2/26), grove 301!
