Our Story

Located at the intersection of Kinsley Street and Sherrill Road in Sherrill, New York, PR Plus Small Engine Repair is a locally owned and operated small engine repair shop that prides itself in quality work and great customer service!

We repair and service lawn mowers and snow blowers, along with w**d eaters, chain saws, leaf blowers, generators, rototillers and more. We offer affordable pick-up and delivery of your machine for your convenience.

Owner David Bennett grew up in motorsports and the sounds of engines. His father Phil Bennett was a local racer, track promoter and flagger, racing and officiating NASCAR Modifieds alongside greats such as; Richie Evans, Jerry Cook and Sonny Seamon.

In the 1980’s, David followed in his father’s footsteps and began racing go-karts and tuning-up racing go-kart motors with his father. David raced go-karts from 1981 until 1985 where he was track champion at Paradise Speedway in Geneva and Dodge City Speedway in Cobleskill. In 1986 he raced NASCAR Late Models at Shangri-la Speedway and from 1987 until 1990, he raced MidState Antique Stock Cars, before turning in his driving helmet when his youngest son was born to focus on working on the other side of the track fence, as a race official.
