To cool your vehicle’s cabin as fast as possible this summer, purge the trapped hot air before driving, by rolling down the passenger window and opening and closing the driver's door 5-6 times. Next, turn on your A/C, set it to "fresh air," and drive for 1–2 minutes with the windows down and then switch your A/C to "recirculate" and roll your windows back up. This will help you to have a cool ride all summer long.

Prepare your vehicle for extreme cold by ensuring the battery is tested and keeping at least a half-tank of fuel and a gallon of antifreeze 50/50 mix. Check tire pressure, and keep an emergency kit with blankets, a flashlight, and a candle in a jar with a lighter to help you if you get stuck for a long period and your car will not run.
