998...999....326,000!!!! 😃

Our 2003 Chevy Silverado LS 4x4 just clicked off 326k - all stock & original, except for a new transmission at 122k..

She proudly wears that glowing SES light like a badge of honor - she's earned it! 😋 🫡

Just goes to show how long your whip can last if you keep up w/ maintenance, repairs & completing mechanical updates whenever you can.. 😉

She's a runner and we can keep yours on the road too....at LRS! 😎

Mini tornado! 🌪 The storm's a' rollin' in!!! 🫣

Took a break from the shop to spend some time w/ family on Stoney Lake Beach yesterday, watching this BIG storm roll in over the Big Lake..

Mother Nature is beautiful - even when she's ticked off! 😎

She had a bad thermostat & a damaged water pump assy. that didn't provide the engine cooling it needed to keep from overheating...

Partially dis-assembled the engine to change out the t-stat & removed the lower unit to service the water pump = happy engine again! 😉

*We even got partially paid w/ a batch of fresh caught Walley!! 😛

A $2 part took down a $1,500+ purpose-built, HD transfer case! 😲

Last year - we built a very specific, HD FORD NP271 transfer case w/ micro-polished & cryogenically treated parts that came back to the shop w/ premature failure, which isn't normal ~ especially for one built to this level of preparation.. 😬

Teardown inspection revealed all the treated parts came through w/ flying colors - likely due the specialized MP/Cryo treatment, but one nylon thrust washer in the planetary gear set broke into pieces, got into the spinning parts and partially melted under load - cooking the fluid in the process! 😵

Translation = failure! Loss of 4WD low. 🫤

Sooo, a freshen-up w/ updated small parts will get this chunk back up to reliable 4WD status again soon! 😃

Personal watercraft isn't too personal when it doesn't run! 😬

1996 Sea-Doo XP 780 PWC came in w/ a no-start, no-run condition and the trailer wiring connector was smashed.. 🤕

A wink & a smile later - she's starting / running like a champ again w/ functional trailer lights restored! 😉

Yep...we service & repair water scooters too - at LRS! 😃

Captain Stubing....we're gonna' need a bigger boat! 🚤 🦈 😉

This Starcraft fishing boat ("SS Lucky Bass-Turd") w/ a 40hp Johnson outboard came to us w/ a sickly engine that overheats....on the water! 🤪

Soooo, more on this rig later as we figure it out & get the owner back on the water - stay tuned..
