Added the wage if that helps people with interest.

Attention retirees and/or part time employment income seekers.

I am seeking a role as a driving instructor to help me with the large amounts of teen drivers we service. I would consistently have 10-20 hours a week available. Starting pay is at $23 an hour.

I have a listing on indeed but also posting here.
During the summer months, an instructor can pretty much make their exact desired schedules. During the school year, I would be looking for mid afternoon to early evenings on weekdays and whatever you want on weekends.

Please shoot me a message or call/text 920-912-2013 to learn more about it!

In a small community, who you know and can trust with important matters is key!

A few people that should be on your radar for your kids before or around licensing time.

Auto insurance rates can be hard on teen drivers. If your current providers quote does not seem friendly, reach out to Jake Schultz with Spectrum Insurance to see if he has a better fit with all of the carriers he can use.

There tends to be a few teen auto fatalities in our area every year. It is also one of the leading causes of death for people under 21. If you reach out to Gregory Schoemer at Modern Woodmen for a unique life insurance protection plan that also offers a potential scholarship if started prior of Junior year that could be as low as a few dollars per month.

Cars are always needing repair service. In town I use Van Wyk Auto and Thunder Auto to keep my cars safe, reliable, and ready to tackle all of the behind the wheels!

Please let me know if you need a contact number for any of these services!

Thanks for choosing Cruise Control!

Here is the grant details I got emailed this morning.

The relaunch of the Driver Education Grant program will begin on Monday, August 25th at 9:00AM. Income eligible students will be able to take classroom and/or behind the wheel training from accredited schools like yours. The process is similar to last year’s program. The student will enroll, and DMV will provide those eligible with coupons to present to authorized Driver Training schools. Those schools enrolled as a WisDOT vendor will be reimbursed for their training provided.

Grant funding will be released on a quarterly basis rather than all at once. Each quarter, a portion of the total funds noted in the 2025-2027 biennial budget will be allotted to eligible students. This change allows for a steadier flow for students and driver training schools.

Students should visit Wisconsin Department of Transportation Driver Education Grant Program to enroll. If they enroll but are not accepted for a grant this quarter, they should visit our notification list to be notified when the grant will be available again the next quarter. The notification list will be available when the grant is not.

This is not something to get a refund for students who have already paid out of pocket to start!

Thanks,
Greg Schoemer

It has been a long time since we have made a post! We are still here and everything has just been on auto pilot.

With the school years getting started, I got a few pieces of info.

-Next Monday the state is releasing grant funds for drivers Ed for families who would qualify. I am not sure how that is decided but I do accept the grant codes.

-We have noticed an increased number of students not getting adequate practice time outside of us which leads to some inconsistencies in skills important for test passing and safe driving with a license. Checking a blindspot shoulder before changing a full lane area of the road in double lane roads, curbside exiting, and merging the highway. Parking in a lot and along curbsides. Performing a y turn. The state has imposed a minimum of 50 hours of experience that should be gained prior of testing.

-with the school year starting, schedule flexibilities for most students gets tighter. If there is good communication streams by the student to us, the schedule runs smooth. If the communication by the student lacks, it makes it harder to complete in time for eligibility.

-we are also open to adding an instructor to the team, If you or someone you know is interested, send me a message!

Thank you always for your trust in our team to help get your student license ready

Locals,

As I look to keep an established service to providing top tier drivers education options to our local teens, I am again in need of someone with interest to be a part time behind the wheel instructor. I tailor the scheduling to what the candidate wants to work. If you know someone looking to pick up 8-15 hours a week, have them reach out to me at 920-912-2013!

Thank You,

Greg

Happy New Year to Sheboygan Area students! I don’t post often on the social media page as we thank you for all of your business that keeps us stretching out our schedules to offer our services to as many families as possible. We are still operating multiple cars and multiple instructors, giving our best to offer the best services possible. I know I get calls on when in-person classroom options may be available and my answer is still the same as I would need to hire someone interested in doing so. For now we will stay on auto pilot with self paced online classroom to allow us to pace your students behind the wheels that they can license at earliest eligibility! Thank you again from me and my team!
