🏁IN LOVING MEMORY OF HOWARD BARTZ

It is with heavy hearts that the Shawano Speedway family extends our deepest sympathies on the passing of Howard Bartz.
For Howard and his late wife, Donna, Saturday nights at Shawano Speedway were more than just another night of racing. They were about family, tradition, and watching the people they loved do what they loved.
Through the years, Howard and Donna could be found cheering on their son, Craig Bartz, and later their granddaughter, Jordan Bartz, as she carried on the family's racing tradition.
Families like the Bartz family are what make Shawano Speedway so special. Racing isn't just about the cars on the track. It's about the loved ones in the grandstands, the pride of watching family compete, and the traditions passed down from one generation to the next.
While Howard and Donna are no longer with us, their love for family, racing, and those Saturday nights will never be forgotten.
From all of us at Shawano Speedway, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Craig, Tina, Jordan, and the entire Bartz family.
❤️ Rest in peace, Howard. Reunited with Donna, forever remembered, and always part of our racing family.
🏁 The checkered flag may fall, but the memories live on forever.

View Howard Lee Bartz's obituary, send flowers, find service dates, and sign the guestbook.

TO THE ONES IN THE STANDS—THANK YOU.

With our 2026 season behind us, we want to thank every fan who spent a Saturday night with us at Shawano Speedway.

Whether you’ve been coming for decades or walked through our gates for the first time this year, we’re grateful you were here. Thank you for bringing your families, cheering for your favorite drivers, and making memories with us.

To our longtime fans—thank you for the years of support and the traditions you’ve passed down. We miss the familiar faces who can no longer join us and treasure the memories they helped make.

As we prepare for Season 65, we’d love to hear “your stories from the stands.” When did you start coming? Who did you sit with? What drivers, friendships, or special nights do you remember most?

Share a memory or an old photo, message our page, or email [email protected] Your stories are part of Shawano Speedway’s history, and we’d love to help preserve them.

The engines are quiet for now, but there are still so many stories to tell.

Thank you to all our fans for being part of the Legendary Half Mile. 🖤🏁

🏁 NEW THIS OFF-SEASON: SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT 🏁

The checkered flag may have fallen on our 2026 racing season, but our support for the businesses that support Shawano Speedway doesn’t stop when the racing does.

Throughout the off-season, we’re going to shine the Sponsor Spotlight on the businesses that helped make Saturday nights at the Legendary Half Mile possible. We’ll introduce you to who they are, what they offer, and where you can find them.

When you’re looking for a product, service, place to eat, or somewhere to shop, we hope you’ll remember the businesses that support local racing.
And we’re kicking it off with Prime Powersports!
