Congratulations to this hunter on his first buck—and a great one at that!

His father reached out the morning after the shot. With very little blood to follow and the buck heading into a thick cutover, he made the right call to stop tracking and wait for us. He had used our service before and understood that we don’t conduct thermal searches in direct sunshine, so we arranged to meet that night.

A little over 12 hours after the shot, we got the drone in the air and located the buck in less than five minutes. He had already expired.

Our advanced thermal equipment can locate deer up to 48 hours after a shot, depending on conditions. We recommend calling within the first 12–24 hours, when the chances of a successful recovery are strongest.

The hunter’s father joined us at the property after the Carolina football game, along with his grandson, who helped with the recovery. Since dad wasn't present his son took his place in claiming the big buck! ❤️

A big congratulations to this young hunter on his biggest buck yet—and his first rack buck! 🦌

A family member who has trusted us in the past reached out to see if we could help locate this deer. Of course, we were glad to help!

After the shot, the buck bedded down nearby. The hunter bumped him while following the blood trail, then bumped him a second time. He made the right call by backing out and giving the deer more time. While he waited, he contacted us.

After finishing a few calls, we arrived and located the buck in less than 30 seconds. He had expired not far beyond his second bed, just on the other side of a fallen tree. It looked like he tried to jump over it, landed, and stayed there.

The woods weren’t especially thick, so the hunter may have found him the next day—but there’s no way to know for sure. Backing out and calling us gave us the chance to check right away and bring him to a successful recovery.

Congratulations to this hunter on an awesome South Carolina 8pnt buck!

He reached out after taking a quick shot through a very small shooting lane. He couldn’t find any blood, but based on the buck’s reaction, he felt confident he had made contact. We agreed the signs pointed to a hit, so we began searching.

After about 10 minutes checking the area near the hit site, we expanded our search with a grid pattern. That’s when we located the buck several hundred yards away, already expired.

We put in the extra effort to locate your deer, whether he’s alive or expired. If we find him alive, we want to evaluate his condition and determine whether he needs to be dispatched. We take pride in providing thorough service—we don’t just show up, collect a fee, and leave.

Another search with no blood trail, but another expired deer located and on the tailgate!

Congratulations to this hunter on his very first bow buck! We’re grateful he contacted us to help with such a special recovery.

He had a short blood trail before losing it in the woods. Unsure where the deer was hit, he wanted to find out whether the buck had expired nearby or was still okay. Once we arrived, we quickly located him about 100 yards away from last blood, bedded down.

After checking the buck, and evaluating him we decided to go in for a follow-up and we successfully recovered him. Without that search, he could have been left behind or become a meal for coyotes.

When we locate a mortally wounded deer, we’ll go in and dispatch it. We won’t leave an animal suffering in the woods. If the situation calls for a tracking dog, we can also send a vetted dog team to help.

No deer left behind.

Congratulations to this hunter on a solid 8-point buck!

He contacted us Tuesday evening after following a good blood trail for about 100 yards. When the deer crossed a power line and entered a thick cutover, the trail became difficult to follow. He made the right call by backing out and calling us.

We arrived later that night and located the buck about another 100 yards away, beside a creek and already expired. Backing out helped make the search and recovery much easier.

We also appreciate this hunter’s patience. Call volumes are high this time of year, and while we don’t like keeping anyone waiting, we’ll definitely get to you soon as we can!

We had the opportunity to help this hunter locate a buck he thought he had missed.

When he called and explained what happened, we had a good feeling he may have made contact based on the details he shared. But with no blood or other sign, he was convinced he had missed. He’s hunted for many years and taken plenty of deer, yet he was still uncertain about what happened.

After finishing several calls late that night, we made it to his property. Since we knew the hunter and the property, we didn’t wake him. We entered through the gate and launched from the access road leading to his stand.

Once the drone was in the air, we located the buck in less than 30 seconds. He wasn’t far from the shot site—even though the hunter had walked all around the area and never saw him.

It’s a great reminder: don’t give up just because you don’t find blood. If the shot reaction or what you saw makes you think you may have made contact, it’s worth getting help to check. Even experienced hunters can be unsure.

We dragged the buck out to the road and dropped a pin so the hunter could retrieve him easily in the morning. With temperatures around 38 degrees, he was fine to remain there overnight.

The weather is perfect, deer activity has picked up, and rut activity is getting better by the day. Now is the time to be in the woods!

Hunt hard and shoot straight. But if things don’t go as planned, back out and don’t hesitate to call. No blood doesn’t necessarily mean you missed. You saw the deer’s reaction, and a deer can be hit and expire a short distance away without leaving a visible trail.

A heavy blood trail doesn’t always mean a recovery is certain, and no blood doesn’t mean there’s no chance. We’ve found plenty of expired deer with little or no blood.

Whatever the situation, let us help you get answers, closure, or peace of mind. We’re here 24/7.

We had the privilege of locating this nice 8-point buck for a hunter last night!

He contacted us shortly after dark. He had followed a good blood trail and jumped the buck from its bed. He was able to get a follow-up shot off with his sidearm before the deer disappeared farther into the thicket. After following the blood a little farther without finding the buck, he made the right decision to back out and call us instead of risking jumping it again and pushing it deeper into the woods.

That decision made all the difference. Once we arrived, we quickly located the buck a short distance beyond where the blood trail ended. It had tried to backtrack its path and had already expired.

We’re grateful we could help locate and recover this hunter’s deer and put another one on the tailgate!

Congratulations to this hunter on a great 8-point buck—and a new personal best! 🦌

He reached out Friday morning after taking a quartering-away shot. He found a good blood trail and followed it until it suddenly disappeared. With thick brush making it difficult to pick the trail back up, he made the right call: he backed out and contacted us.

We arrived after dark and began searching. After an extensive effort, we finally located the buck expired in thick brush beneath a tree. We searched hard and kept at it right down to our last set of batteries. Some of our earlier angles missed him, but the final angle was the one that mattered—we found him and got him on the tailgate! 🚁

This recovery was a reminder that persistence and experience can make a difference in thick cover.
