Very proud to have been prominently featured in writer Jeff Zurchmeide's article on the 3D Printing of obsolete car parts in the January/February Issue of Linkage magazine. Linkage is a bi-monthly magazine published by noted automotive authority Donald Osborne. It's a beautiful publication that focuses on the automotive life. We are honored and thrilled to have our work showcased in this way.

The 62nd Annual Pittsburgh World of Wheels will kick off in two weeks - January 20-22 2023 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. We'll be there with some 3D printed parts on display. The Show features some of the top Rods, Customs and Muscle Cars in the country including the 2022 Ridler Award winner. It's a great way to spend a winter day. Hope to see you there.

We recently reproduced this center ring and caps for a Simplex wheel used on model T's. The ring is printed in 316 Stainless and features left handed threads. The centers were printed in Nylon plastic (but could have printed these in metal as well). The centers will be chrome plated.

Here's another Non-Automotive project we've been working on. These are custom pieces for Puppybear Creations. They include a Skull Head Pocket watch (available in either painted plastic or metal) as well as a Scorpion Chantelaine and various zipper pulls/pendants also available in metal or plastic. Cool pieces for sure.

Earlier this year we were involved in a "non-automotive" project to utilize 3D scanning and printing to reproduce the staircase architecture for the renovation of the Youngstown Public Library in Youngstown, OH. We used our scanner to aid in the design of the metal stair rail scrolls and spacers. These were then modified slightly to properly fit the vertical rails and were 3D Printed by ExOne Company out of 420 Stainless Steel and Bronze. We then used 3D scanned models of the artistic leaf work created by an outside metrology company to recreate the ornamental features for the staircase. These sections were 3D Printed by ExOne using their Thermoform material. It was a fascinating project and another example of how modern 3D printing technology can help preserve the past.

We recently designed and printed this piece for the generator on a 1921 Brockway Fire Truck that is under restoration. The main section and center are printed in 316 Stainless Steel and Bronze. The "rubber like" gasket is printed from a product called "Cheetah" and the insulators for the brush on the center section is printed in Nylon PA-12. We're actually making 3 of these, one for our client, one for his friend and one for the museum that lent us the original. Very happy with how this piece turned out.

Big shout out and "Thank You" to our friends at Hahn Auto Restoration for the kind mention in their article on 3D Printing Industry.com. This is where HV3DWorks was formed. Good luck to Bill and the team with the Fiat 500-Hellcat project! Looking forward to seeing the completed car and a great example of how 3D printing technology can be utilized in the car restoration/customization industry.

Here is a great example of how the industry is evolving to produce more and better materials that will allow us to expand the potential market for 3D Printed components. These ultrastrong lightweight materials will allow us to improve upon existing part designs while exploring opportunities for greater innovation moving forward. We will be researching this technology further to understand part size limitations and cost factors. Very cool stuff.

Just finishing up a project to 3D Print these custom 168mm fuel injection stacks for a BMW M12-7 engine. We modeled a 135mm stack and then expanded the model to 168mm. We also created a special 3D Printed Aluminum insert to securely hold the injector into the stack.

This is a technology we've been keeping an eye on for several years. I could potentially allow us to 3D Print with multiple metals (transition from stainless steel to tool steel and back) within the same part. While still being developed, it shows the downstream potential of the technology. Really cool and something we will be watch for the future.
