↔️ LEAVE EXTRA SPACE — give yourself more room to stop.

⚠️ WATCH FOR STANDING WATER — never drive through flooded roadways.

🚨 SAVE THE 4-WAYS FOR WHEN YOU'RE STOPPED OR DISABLED. Your hazard lights can make it harder for other drivers to know what you're doing.

And if the rain gets so bad that you can't see the road safely...

GET OFF THE ROAD AND WAIT IT OUT.

Herbie, the Love Bug is a fictional sentient 1963 Volkswagen Beetle racing car that was featured in several Walt Disney motion pictures starting with The Love Bug in 1968. He has a mind of his own, being capable of driving himself and often becoming a serious contender in auto racing.
• The Book: Herbie originated from Gordon Buford’s 1961 unpublished story "Car, Boy, Girl".
• Casting the Car: Disney considered several vehicles like the Toyota Corona and Ford Mustang before choosing the Beetle, noticing that people at a casting call patted the car's hood like a pet.
• The Name: The name "Herbie" came from a Disney executive who remembered a comedy routine about a ski instructor named Herby.
• Number 53: The number "53" was chosen by producer Bill Walsh after his favorite baseball player, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Don Drysdale.
