😎Just some friendly suggestions… Good Morning!!
It’s the 1st of the month, and some of us are already trying to figure out how we’re going to pay all these doggone bills. 😩😂
If I got paid twice a month, here’s how I would pay my bills without being mentally strained every time payday came around:
FIRST THING: I wouldn’t look at my bills based on the due date. I’d look at them based on my PAYDAYS.
Let’s say I bring home $4,000 a month — $2,000 per check.
My monthly bills are:
🏠 Rent: $1,400
🚗 Car: $500
💡 Utilities: $300
📱 Phone: $150
🛡️ Insurance: $250
🛒 Groceries: $500
⛽ Gas: $300
Total: $3,400
That leaves $600 a month.
Instead of letting the first paycheck get DESTROYED because everything is due around the 1st, I’m dividing my responsibilities between BOTH checks.
CHECK #1 — $2,000
Rent: $1,400
Utilities: $300
Gas: $150
Groceries: $150
Total: $2,000
CHECK #2 — $2,000
Car: $500
Insurance: $250
Phone: $150
Groceries: $350
Gas: $150
Savings: $300
Total: $1,700
That still leaves me $300 for myself or unexpected expenses.
And once I get a little ahead, I’m taking it one step further:
I’m going to start putting HALF of my major bills aside from EACH paycheck.
$1,400 rent? → $700 from each check.
$500 car note? → $250 from each check.
$300 utilities? → $150 from each check.
Now one paycheck isn’t carrying the entire household.
Sometimes the problem isn’t just how much money we’re making.
It’s how we’re timing the money going OUT.
The goal is to stop having one “good check” and one “bill check.” 😂
Both checks need a JOB.
That’s how I would start taking some of the mental strain out of payday. 💰
