Project "Sludge Hammer" Update:

I actually got those frozen pistons out of the block without having to Dynamite them out! I used 30% Vinegar (one step above normal Household Vinegar) and let them soak about a week or so (It WILL Definitely Eat the Rust out of the Cylinders). Then, Pressure Washed it, Sprayed on WD40, and coerced them right out.

Next Step is to get Quote from Machine Shop for all the needed Machine Work along with New Parts Costs and Present it to the Customer for Approval.

Working on a Customer's "Project" Truck, a 1968 Ford F-100 SWB with a 240 Six-Cylinder Engine & "3 on the Tree". I'm calling this Project, "Sludge Hammer" from My findings in the Oil Pan and Bottom of the Engine. SLUDGE, and LOTS of IT!

From Junkyard to Farm Work! There's a lot of work left to do on this 1953 Ford Golden Jubilee yet, but I'll start putting this one to work very soon. I went through the Hydraulics and Repaired a Cracked Engine Block. Still have to work on Sheet Metal, Paint, Brakes, Carburetor to smooth out the engine idling, and installing Factory Ford Power Steering later on down the road.

My 1953 Ford Jubilee (Golden Jubilee) had a cracked engine block. I repaired it using JB Weld. Hey, It Works if You do it right! I Promise! And You can't tell that a repair was even made! I also need to mention that it saved between $350-$500 on a Used Replacement Engine Block as well as New Parts such as Gaskets & Seals, Rings, Bearings. So instead, I spent $20-$25 for the Repair instead of $1,000-$1,500 for a Block and Rebuild. I do apologize, I forgot to take some of the Photos of Me grinding-out the crack with a Dremel Tool.

Some of the Engines that I have been working on lately at the Shop. 1953 Ford 215 Inline 6-Cylinder with Ford Dura-Spark II Distributor, 1964 Ford 192 Industrial 4-Cylinder Gasoline Engine, and a Late (Late 1950-1952) Ford 8N Tractor Engine with Side Distributor.
