Keller’s Auto Body Donates Funds for Speed Timing Device
By Kay Poeth
On February 29, 2024, Keller’s Auto Body donated funds to the Selinsgrove Borough Police for the purchase of an Enradd Speed Timing Device to be used to enforce speed limits.
The Selinsgrove Borough Police Department has been attempting to purchase this device for the past year. Keller’s Auto Body generously stepped up to provide the funding needed.
According to Sergeant Francis Petrovich the used speed timing device was purchased from the Mount Carmel Police Department. The device can be used anywhere in the borough.
Chief Shanee Mitchell credits Sgt. Petrovich with the initiative of reaching out to supporters to gain the necessary funding and working to procure the speed timing device. “Never did I expect results this fast! I am extremely proud of him and grateful to have him as my sergeant.”
“Keller’s Auto Body has been a great supporter of the Selinsgrove Borough Police Department for over 70 years,” noted Sgt. Petrovich. “Keller’s is one of our biggest supporters.”
“We are more than grateful for their support and their donation. Keller’s Auto Body never hesitates to assist us when we need them. I honestly cannot thank them enough,” added Chief Shanee Mitchell.
“When our community calls upon us, we feel a responsibility to help,” explained Cody Keller. “My grandfather, Andy Keller, started the tradition of community support in 1953, passed down the tradition to my father, Matt, and now onto me.” Then Keller added, “Local businesses and individuals need to help their communities on a local scale.”
