NASA photographed something that looks almost impossible.
Two glowing “eyes” appear to stare straight back at us from deep space.
But there are no eyes here.
They are the bright cores of two galaxies caught in a rare head-on collision.
The blue ring surrounding them is made of young stars created in the violent interaction.
The strangest part?
This face-like structure is temporary.
NASA estimates the ring will only remain in this form for roughly 100 million years before the system eventually changes as the galaxies continue merging.
What looks like a cosmic face is actually a snapshot of two galaxies colliding.
And we just happen to be here to see it. 👀🌌
