Chris’ MK7 GTI stopped by for a solid round of maintenance and performance upgrades.

We knocked out a new front O2 sensor and PCV breather hose, then upgraded reliability with an aluminum oil pan. Brake system got a full refresh with front rotors paired with YellowStuff pads and rear rotors with RedStuff pads, along with stainless-steel brake lines, cleaned calipers/carriers, and a complete brake fluid flush.

Also installed a Diverter Valve, rear sway bar, and finished it off with an A/C service to keep everything running smooth and ready for the road.

Volkswagen MK4 common failure point — the fuse panel above the battery.

Over time, corrosion and loose connections create increased resistance within the circuit. This leads to excessive heat, often resulting in a melted fuse panel housing at the alternator power feed, along with damaged fuses.

For this repair, we replaced the failed assembly with a fuse box kit, which includes a new power cable, cover, and fuses. All remaining power distribution connections were cleaned and inspected to ensure proper contact.

We also upgraded the alternator charge wire to an oversized 4-gauge OFC wire to improve current flow and reduce resistance. All terminals were treated with dielectric grease to help protect against future corrosion.

Proper electrical integrity is critical for reliability—another MK4 restored and ready for the road.

Door speakers cracking & rattling? Time for an upgrade 🔊

Hunter hit us up to bring his Ford F-150 Crew Cab back to life with a clean OEM+ sound. We installed Sony GS Series 2-way coaxials — 6x9” up front and 6.5” in the rear — all running right off the factory head unit.

Everything fitted properly using Metra mounting brackets and plug-and-play harness adapters for a seamless install.

No more distortion… just clear, balanced sound you can actually enjoy again 🎶

Upgraded all front & rear doors with GS Series 6.5” coaxials, plus added 4” coaxials up front for a fuller, more balanced sound.

Next phase will be dialing it in with an amp & sub setup—but for now it’s running off the aftermarket headunit.

brought his 2013 VW Jetta TDI Sportwagen in for some in-depth diagnostics 🛠️

Hard fault for crankshaft position sensor, flashing glow plug light, CEL, and turbo boost performance codes had this wagon stuck in limp mode.

We removed the oil filter/cooler housing, replaced the CPS along with new gaskets & seals, and tracked down a vacuum leak to a cracked brake booster hose that was collapsing under load. Replaced with OEM and got everything sealed up right.

No more limp mode. No more faults. Back to driving like it should 💨

MK7 GTI in for some much-needed preventative maintenance 🔧

Took care of the notorious MQB water pump & thermostat housing, along with the union and drive belt. While we were in there, we handled a full walnut blast/carbon cleaning, cleaned the throttle body, and replaced all necessary gaskets.

Keeping it running strong and ready for the next round.
