Girls Rock

Girls Rock courage. community. climbing. Now in its 15th year, Girls Rock! is a 10-week afterschool mentoring and rock climbing program for girls ages 11-14. Girls Rock!

With an adult volunteer mentor, girls create a diverse, supportive community through leadership, service and rock climbing. We use climbing as a metaphor and vehicle to inspire courage and leadership. began in 1997 as part of the independent non-profit Passages Northwest, which has since merged to become part of the Metrocenter YMCA of Greater Seattle. The program runs for 10 weeks in the spring a

nd 10 weeks in the fall. Our spring session starts in the beginning of February and the fall session starts in early September.

GIRLS ROCK ON! has started! We'll be hitting the gym for the next 10 weeks! This weekend on our outdoor weekend we will be designing our very own Girls Rock T-shirts and screen printing them at KTUB. Pictures to come!
