Japan Auction update - USS Tokyo 05/28/2026.
My last day at the auctions for a couple months so more info than I normally share publicly. Interesting selection but no wins - results below.
Thanks NEXIS moto & autoat .jp for the support. Reach out to them for a login - and if you’re ready to bid, I’m generally happy to assist.
I’d like to offer an observation - many believe Japan is the land of clean vehicles and as a ‘high trust’ environment, you can’t loose. I may respectfully disagree. Sellers are not bound by the same legal / disclosure / recourse / ethics - we’re accustomed to in the USA / Europe.
if you ‘KNOW’ Japan auctions present ‘good deal’ and you want to get in on the action - because it looks like fun or easy money - please reconsider. Do the math for the total cost to import. Get your vehicles inspected. Keep some $¥€ in reserve.
Don’t mistake buying at auction as ‘fun’. Take a calculated risk and don’t over-pay. If after all fees you’re ‘in the money’ - now that’s fun!
Don’t forget to tip your server.
