This car sat in a field for 15 years neglected and forgotten originally Kalahari Beige Metallic. Then a very nice ocean blue metallic was applied. But now it sports an amazing overspray white “macco special”

I built this car to be the ultimate drivers car. Lightweight, grippy, raw, simple. The engine spins no accessories except the alternator, no lost power to a/c or power steering. Just focus on the drive, the feel and the noise.

Overcrest isn’t actually about cars, it’s about people and adventures. cars are what get us together but the people and stories won’t ever be forgotten.

From resealing my water pump at 12:30 am on the side of the road in Mexican hat (all for no reason(to fix a lean running problem)) to hunting bad grounds after 15 miles of dirt road. My mechanical abilities and knowledge were tested like never before.

In the passenger seat (and sometimes driving) I had an awesome codriver, mechanic, DJ, photographer and friend all the photos 📸 in this post are taken by him and the film just feels so perfect for the memories attached to these pics. A dusty grainy feel (like the dust covering every surface on the 968) , great colors and perfectly captured

Day 1 of the rally was spent with Ben .life in two 90s German sports cars we did all of valley of the gods, all of Mokie dugway (10 miles of gravel).
Throughout all of the mechanical problems people like .life supportive and always willing to lend a tool or a hand or just talk s**t at 1:00 am

Chris, Chris and the MG B-GT, watching that car push at 10,000 feet with those two Chris’s at the wheel, was a picture perfect demo of driving a Slow car fast!

I fought the 968, and it fought back. Once we both shook hands, it was an absolutely amazing car as always. Carved backroads, flew down straights, and dusted the dirt.

Event 4 was a muddy and wet fight to the finish…and what a great finish it was!

2nd in modified rwd -
So proud of all 3 drivers and really happy with all three cars!
Chris’s had its struggles but did great for sitting in a field a month before the first race
This has been a great learning experience as we dive into stage rally!

Definitely the cleanest and nicest car in the fleet but not without its quirks (like every 944)

When told me to bring a red car and meet him downtown, I had no idea what to expect…but he absolutely knocked it out of the park with these!
