Please share to any experienced technicians you know that love JDM performance!

We are looking for a full vehicle auto performance technician. Must have a thorough knowledge of all areas of automotive repair, and preferably experience with aftermarket performance modifications such as brake systems, Performance suspension, Exhaust, Intakes, turbo chargers, superchargers, fuel systems, dry sumps, plumbing, 12V electrical, (Pumps, Fans, lights, switches, relays, sensors) as well as engine swaps, clutch & transmission replacement, diagnostics & normal repairs. Duties include working with all those systems in the course of performance upgrades, race prep, and restoration and maintenance of performance cars and classic JDM and imported RHD cars. Primarily Toyota, Subaru, Nissan & Mitsubishi as well as some Suzuki, Mazda and Honda.

Pay varies based on experience and capabilities. Significant skill in fabrication & welding, as well as CAD design, wiring and tuning can result in a significantly higher rate of pay. There is no cap on pay - annual raises.

Starting rate for an experienced technician is typically between $27 and $45 / hour but can be higher with the right skill sets and significant experience.

Due to winter weather / travel conditions and school closures we will be closed on Tuesday 1/21

We will open late on Wednesday 1/22 and we are playing it by ear and will make a call that morning depending on travel conditions and availability of power and water.

Please stay safe, drive safe, and pay attention to your tire pressures and tire compounds! If you have Ultra High Performance Summer tires please check temperature operating envelope for them. Many of them are not meant to be used under 40F and some cannot even be MOVED under freezing temps and need to be above freezing for 24 hours before it is safe to move the vehicle again. If you tire is an All Season Tire you generally do not have to worry about these temperatures, although you can obviously expect lower pressures in the cold and reduced traction.

If you are a DDPR customer that is reading this and you are unsure of your tires performance envelope you can call or email us today or Monday and I will be happy to help you find that information! To do that, please get the tire brand and model from the sides of all 4 tires. (Ie: Michelin Defender or Pilot Sport or Toyo R1R etc)

Just about done with a really neat restomod. Stock unknown miles 1FZ from an FJ80 (we think - the upper oil pan on it was from an early 80s JDM model - it was already in the truck just not running worth a darn) with a brand new custom harness, Link G4X Fury engine management system, custom DDPR intake manifold with a 5.7L Tundra DBW throttle, cat, resonator, muffler, manual trans and transfer case, ARB air lockers, 5 Gallon air tank, ARB twin compressor, DDPR custom fan shroud with dual Electric Spal fans, Link IGN1A coil in place of stock coil and igniter, twin wideband knock sensors, Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband for closed loop fuel control, fuel pressure sensor for modeled fuel system, oil pressure and temp to ECU for custom safeguards, custom high mount for batter with heat shields. Cruise control through the link ECU using the DBW throttle. Full Ceramic coated exhaust with additional heat shielding, new Vintage Air heating and cooling system with custom lines, singer 190A high output alternator

Pretty darn cool FJ.
