Thank you to sheriff department and all Allen county police department , they got him in less then 24hrs we’re really appreciate your hard work for our community!

*** ARREST ***

In the early morning hours of 01-30-2026, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office responded to Caster’s, located at the corner of Barren River Damn Road and Meador Port Oliver Road, regarding a burglary. On this same day, patrol units also responded to a nearby residence where a UTV (John Deere Gator) was stolen.

In the evening hours of 01-30-2026, our detectives, with assistance from the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, located the suspect, Brian Purnell (33 years old), at a Barren County residence. The stolen UTV and items from Caster’s were recovered. Purnell was taken into custody and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
