The Oregon Sport Compact Racing Alliance (OSCRA) was created to strengthen and grow Sport Compact racing throughout Oregon by promoting cooperation between tracks, consistent rules, fair competition, and increased opportunities for drivers.

Out of all the cars I have sold there are only 3 that have not come back to me for repairs after some sort of incident. Some have come back a multitude of times and had many many hours and many free parts thrown into them to get them back on track.

These cars are like my kids, if they are sick or broken... I am not content to sit back and watch. I tear into them as much for me as the owner. I rarely get paid for the hours it takes, but I do get paid by knowing I helped someone continue to do what they love to do. That is what I love to do.

I am not sure what that is worth, but this job was worth a hug. And that is Gold. Appreciation... is Everything to me. So when I get reminders like this I get paid all over again, and it makes up for the ones that took me for granted.

There are definitely times I struggle with why I continue to step up when some of the people I have done the most for, seem to forget the times I stepped up for them and fixed their car for nothing, or pennies on the dollar. But I will always be me, and that's on them. I know what I bring to the plate, and I know they are the ones missing out by their own decisions and will regret it when they have to pay someone else what a job is actually worth.

So, when they bail on me I add up their bill for the last several years and we figure out who the bad guy really is, and then I pin it up on my wall for future reference... should I ever start feeling like I did something wrong.

OSCRA was never built around one person, one car, or one track.
It was built around an idea:

That Sport Compact racing in Oregon deserves more.

More respect.
More opportunity.
Better payouts.
Better communication between tracks and drivers.
More consistency.
More unity.

And most importantly… a future.

What started as conversations between racers is now becoming something real.

Two races in, the support has already exceeded expectations. Drivers have traveled from all over Oregon — and even Northern California — to be part of this. Car counts are growing. Interest from promoters is growing. Interest from sponsors is growing. And for the first time in a long time, people are excited about where this class could go.

This year, OSCRA will feature a points series at Douglas County Dirt Track, with more details coming soon. There is already a strong possibility of additional dates at DCDT in 2027, and several promoters around Oregon have expressed interest in working with OSCRA in the future.

One track down… seven to go.

But this only works if the drivers stay behind it.

OSCRA is BY the drivers, FOR the drivers. Grass roots racing built from the bottom up. Not racers fighting against each other… racers building something WITH each other.

A community that gathers to race together.

Every car that shows up matters.
Every share matters.
Every sponsor matters.
Every promoter willing to work with us matters.

If we stay united and keep supporting each other, we can change the direction Sport Compact racing in Oregon has been headed for years. We can grow this class again. We can bring in new drivers. We can create opportunities that help every level of racing grow from the bottom to the top.

As OSCRA continues to grow, the goal is to build something sustainable that the racing community itself can continue supporting for years to come — while still keeping the spirit of grassroots racing alive, keeping decisions practical, and keeping the focus where it belongs: the drivers and the future of the class.

A huge THANK YOU to:
• Douglas County Dirt Track for believing in this idea and working with us now and in the future
• Our Sponsors for the 2026 Season for the bonus payouts and for covering everyone's Membership Fees for the 2026 season
• And ALL of the drivers and teams who supported the first two races

This is only the beginning. 🔥
