Race weekend recap

First and foremost, thank you to Grundy County Speedway for allowing us to race one more time this season.

RB4 with the Damage Auto #64 had to start from the rear for the heat and feature after unfortunately missing practice due to a bad battery.

He didn't let that deter him and he was able to work carefully up through the field to place 2nd in both races! He even had the fastest lap time in his feature! We are super excited to watch him continue to improve and build on what he learned in his rookie season. The future is bright!

RB3 in the #54 had a hot rod right off the trailer. We set fast time and qualified top of the field. Starting last of 10 cars in the heat, he worked up to finish 2nd. He also set the fastest time of any restricted super cup all season with a blistering 19.36s lap! For the feature he started last but by lap 5 took over the lead and didn't look back. This is our 3rd feature win of the season!

For the Midwest series RB4 finished 6th overall.

For the GCS Super Cup Series RB3 finished 2nd overall.

Bettenhausen recap.

RB3 in the #54 had a full night of 2nd! 2nd quickest in practice, 2nd place in the heat and 2nd for the feature. This was our season ender and we capped it off with 2nd overall! Congratulations to Regnerus Motorsports for winning the Grundy super cup championship.

RB4 with the #64 had a solid day as well. He has done a great job of improving every time he straps in. From improving his racing line and craft to finding more speed, he has consistently shown his desire to compete and excel. Starting on the pole for his last feature, he did his best to hold his line and protect his position. Unfortunately he fell back to 5th but still came out all smiles. Couldn't be prouder of this young man. Congratulations to Petersen Racing for securing the Midwest Super Cup championship.

September 6th recap

The day started rough with an unhappy car in practice. The crew of my dad, uncle and cousin were all in on getting it figured out. Special thanks to them for all the hard work so we could be ready for the feature.

Starting the feature P2 made things easier to snag the lead and try to put some distance on the field. Season points leader Regnerus Motorsports with the #48 was in hot pursuit, running a great line that kept me on my toes. Thankfully we were able to secure our 2nd feature victory!!

VICTORY LANE! 🏁

Richard III picked up his second career feature win at Grundy County Speedway tonight! We are so proud of him and of everyone who helped get the #54 back into Victory Lane.
