Manley's Rods N' Customs

Manley's Rods N' Customs Welcome to the Manley's Rods 'N Customs Facebook. We are dedicated to building street rods and restoring classic muscle cars. Please take a look around my page.

Most projects start as nothing but a body shell and a vision, and leave as a completed car. We specialize in:
-Unibody frame repairs
-Body rebuilding
-Body customization (chops, shaving, channeling, etc)
-Custom frame construction, modification, sub frames, roll cages
-Custom metal fabrication, sheet metal forming
-Stock and custom exhaust
-Quality paint work
-Stock interiors
Basically everything

except engine machine work and custom interiors. You'll see various projects we've done over the years along with what we're currently building. For each project you'll find many photos of the build process.

Back in February Rob dropped off rust free doors for his truck.Last week he dropped the truck off to complete the transformation. I worked on them a little at a time over the past few months but now they are finally done and installed. There was some body damage repaired on each door but now they look good as new. I rust proofed them to hopefully prevent them from rusting out like these are known to do. I also gave the truck a 2 step polish to top it off! The new bed we did 4 years ago still looks as good as it did the day we installed it, the fenders also look just as good! Now the body should hold up for a very long time!

Hello everyone, I just want to put an update out to let you all know what is happening at the shop. Currently my schedule is behind where I had hoped to be at this point in time and I know many of you are very anxious and excited to get your projects in the shop to get them done. There is a long list of projects awaiting my expertise and I plan on completing all of them for you! While I'm personally still working at the shop, there are things that are out of my control due to corona virus that I am waiting on to be able to move on with certain aspects of my current and future projects. I am only one person and am doing my best to get caught up. If anyone has any problems with my schedule, please call me to discuss them. I would be more than happy to answer questions and address any concerns that you may have. Thank you for your patience. I will keep you all updated.

Good afternoon! I have not posted in months so I wanted to give an update. I'm still playing catch up from my 2 month recovery this summer but I am getting myself caught up. The black Cobra Jet is coming along nicely and hopefully will be finished up come early spring. I want to thank those of you that have been extremely patient with my delays. I have not forgotten about you and once I'm finished with this restoration, I will be scheduling all of you in to get your repairs done! Thank you, Drew

Update!! Now that I'm back to work and cleared by the doctor after breaking some bones a few months ago, progress will be picking up again on the mustang. I wet sanded the car with a 3 step process and did a 2 stage buff/polish on it. My friend Bob came over and helped me get the short block together as well. Now the car can be unmasked and I can start assembling it! I don't have pictures of the other stuff I have been doing but will take some and post them up soon!

When doing a restoration the hardware is usually a disaster to begin with. In most cases 40+ years of rust and repair leaves parts broken and missing. Hardware kits like this take the guess work out and help speed up assembly quite a bit. This is a body kit. I also have interior, chassis, and engine kits as well. The best part is that every fastener has the correct color, markings, and sizing to be concourse correct!

Quick update! I've been working on a ton of smaller bits and pieces and additional body work on smaller body parts these past couple of weeks. Last night I painted the inside door panel part on the doors and painted the steering column. Today I got the doors on and started assembling them. I finally have a good majority of the parts I have been waiting on for the last month so I can start assembling everything. Suspension is next!
