This is the kind of car where the right buyer cares more about the shell than the shine.
The chassis is clean, the car feels strong, and that matters more than pretending it is flawless.

Had a client who caught the dealership had 2 of the same Year make and Models they’ve been looking for. The Goal for me was to determine which was in better shape.

It’s funny because the one with higher milage (only 8k more) was the clear winner. It was also priced lower as it is a less desirable color. Dealerships are weird.

Customer hit me up in full panic mode because they were trying to help a friend with an oil change and the oil filter housing would not come off. By the time I got there, the factory plastic housing was completely mangled, theres oil everywhere, and it’s still stuck.

Got it off, got the service finished, and upgraded it to a metal housing so hopefully nobody has to fight that thing again.

If a simple job turns into a nightmare, send me a message before it gets worse.

Fresh valve cover gasket and a new drive belt on this Subaru Forester. Took care of the oil seep and got rid of the worn belt before it became a bigger problem. Simple maintenance like this goes a long way.

Clean interior, strong test drive, good tire tread, and no major drivability issues. Cosmetically it has a few minor flaws and some evidence of repaint work, but nothing that looks alarming. Underneath is in good shape with only light surface rust, and the biggest long term item to keep an eye on is a small timing cover seep that may take a long time to develop.

Overall, this is the kind of used car inspection I like to see. A few honest notes, but no major red flags.
