Now that the weekend’s over we’d like to thank Great Lakes Sport Car Club and Chicagoland Sports Car Club for the speedy races over at Milwaukee Mile Raceway!

Had some North Sub members come out, with our very own Tim Langham clinching class champion. Big congrats 👏 🎉

Happy Monday, NSSCC folks! Think we can see a band of horses in the chat? We’ll start the pack with this spicy GT350 😉 🐎

Fun fact, when Carrol Shelby and crew were meaning the iconic Mustang GT350, they spent fruitless hours deliberating. Finally, Shelby looked out his office window, turned to his shop manager Phil Re*****on, and asked how far it was to the nearby engine building shop.
Re*****on stepped off the distance between the two buildings and reported back: roughly 350 feet.
Shelby famously replied, “That’s what we’ll call it—GT350. If the car’s good, the name won’t matter. If it’s no good, the name won’t save it.”

This goes to some of our great vintage racers out there. To have a beautifully done, track-ready automobile still handle a tossing about on the asphalt and make it back to the trailer for the next race… well, that’s our motivation to get back to the track!

The rain didn’t hold a few reps from North Sun from showing up and hanging out at Willow Fest yesterday afternoon!

As our guy from the Willow Springs Village said, it’s real neat to see a formula car somewhere that’s not a track. Thanks to Dave Bralich, Lynn Serra, Scott Durbin, and Adam Joseph for making it out. The gang had to make sure our new banner didn’t fly away in the weather.

Catch us at our Racecars and Coffee event, hosted at Sim Racing South Barrington on Saturday, September 12th, from 8am - 11am to see a full lineup of some of our track cars. Hopefully it’ll be a little less wet than this outing!
