This Corvette Z06 needed a front frame rail replacement and that’s definitely not a repair we can do by eye. If anything is even slightly out of spec, it can affect suspension geometry, panel, fitment, and how the vehicle performs and protects in another impact.

Using our Benchrack system, we were able to lock the vehicle in position, which allows us to gather data points measure every dimension, and ensure the new frame is positioned exactly where the manufacturer intended. Every cut and weld is verified against factory specifications.

With the proper equipment in the right process, this is not just a repair, it’s a precise, structural restoration once reassembled it would be exactly as it left the factor with no hint that anything was ever out of place.

First of all congratulations to the on that win!!!!

Secondly we will be closed tomorrow. Not to celebrate their victory, but to clean up this snowy mess so we can return to our normal schedule Tuesday.

This 1988 Mustang GT looked like it was in pretty rough shape. It’s visiting us for some body work and some new paint. Given the multiple layers of paint and the condition of the car when it dropped off, it was definitely a candidate for Glass Blasting. I was definitely nervous about doing the blasting as these cars were notorious for rotting out. To my surprise, it was quite the opposite. This thing is spotless!!!!! After the media blasting we cleaned and scuffed the metal for any oxidation immediately applying PPG DP expoxy primer. We will now let this sit for a week and begin bodywork on top of the primer. Stay tuned. This is gonna be a cool one!!!!

When our customer came to us with her beloved and bagged BMW 318 touring it wasn’t for a good reason. This car was imported from the Netherlands as it was never sold here in the states. Unfortunately this car was next to a garage fire and sustained heat damage to the full left side of the car.
The rest of the car was is fair condition “or so it seemed” until we started taking it apart. Older cars can be a challenge as far as parts breaking and finding corrosion. You guessed it we encountered both. We had the vehicle glass blasted to strip the layers of paint off from over the years. We unmasked some surprises, but nothing we could not handle. Restorations are not something we typically get involved with especially corrosion.
We had a local old school restoration guy replace and make panels that were not available to us. The car was treated with a black epoxy primer. We flared out the rear quarter panel lips and fenders ever so slightly so when the vehicle was aired out, the lips would sit right on the edge of the wheels as the customer envisioned.
The panels were straightened out by hand hours, and hours worth of work.
The customer was great with helping us track down stuff as we needed it. We ended up getting parts from many other countries to get this thing back together. As the vehicle was getting ready for Paint I reached out to the customer trying to convince her to change the color. She is very stubborn, 👀 but ultimately decided that my idea would work. The car is refinished and BMW individual Tanzanite Blue.
It’s not far off from the original color but the metallics and pearls in the color, highlight the body lines that the original color just didn’t do.
It took time. (2 years)
It took mistakes.
It took a lot of dedication.
It took a very understanding customer.
It took a team of amazing technicians on our team to make what you see come to life.
