This is the inside look of a brake rotor. It is a GM vehicle, from lack of use or brake pads sticking in their brackets, sticky caliper slide, or a caliper issue. Something isn’t working correctly on the rotor with the thin braking surface. Either way, the vehicle needs new front brake rotors. The shiny brake rotor is off an Audi and is brand new. That is how your brakes should look.

This brutal cold season has taken a toll on vehicles battery and starting system. We do a complete test on the battery, starter motor, and alternator. We charge the weak batteries and retest. On the 2nd or Third test, we try our best to determine if we should replace or will it be ok for the customer. We always put our customer first to make sure they are getting the right repair and a quality repair.

This is a cabin Air Filter, it protects debris like leaves, pine needles, and rodent nests from getting into the blower motor. A blower motor for this Volvo is approximately a $1500. Dollar repair. Most filters are easy to change and inexpensive compared to a repair on the heating/cooling system. It falls under preventive maintenance. You should check them periodically throughout the year depending on your mileage and environment you store your car in.

This is a young me on Crow Hill ( Over by the new chip plant) on my Uncle Steve’s John Deer Tractor. Probably early 1970’s. I have always loved equipment, motorcycles, trucks and cars. Brake Inspection on a medium duty Chevy van converted into a mini bus. This bus doesn’t carry passengers but the Inspection process is still a very through process. We all have a Heavy Duty License from the state to work on these vehicles but because of the weight of the vehicle, a regular NYSI license is needed.

A cold and snowy week for sure, it did not stop this Crew from getting the jobs done. They pulled a transmission out of a Ram 1500 and a 5.7 Hemi engine from a donor truck. Engine is getting some minor work while out and getting prepped to go into a different Ram 1500. A great job and display of team work.
