Yesterday we introduced Through the Generations: 100 Years of Halloween on Route 66.
Families will travel through the past, starting in 1926 and making their way through generations of Route 66 and Halloween.
But when they reach 2026, that's where YOU come in.
We want our community to bring what makes you... you.
Decorate a trunk and hand out candy. Bring a cool car. Set up a game. Bring your business or organization. Create something fun for the kids. Have an idea we haven't thought of? COME WITH IT.
We're not assigning everybody a decade or telling you how your setup has to look.
The history is our part.
2026 is OUR community's part.
This isn't about making everybody match.
It's about ending 100 years of history surrounded by the people who are making history right now.

This year isn’t just another Halloween.

Route 66 turns **100 YEARS OLD**, S&G Muffler is celebrating our **first Halloween on the Mother Road**, and we decided that deserved something a little bigger than setting out a bowl of candy. 😏

Introducing…

We’re building an experience that takes families through the generations of Route 66 and Halloween, starting all the way back in **1926** and traveling through 100 years until you arrive right here…

**2026.**

And THAT’S where we want our community waiting. 🧡💚

We want local businesses, families, organizations, car people, churches, clubs, first responders and neighbors to come be part of the **HERE & NOW.**

Want to decorate a trunk and hand out candy? Come on.

Want to bring a cool car? Bring it.

Want to set up a game or activity? Hell yeah.

We spent this week waking up the neighbors, digging around haunted Sapulpa, losing a 10mm and making some highly questionable financial decisions...

So we figured we'd better provide a little evidence that **we do, in fact, work around here.** 😂

Because apparently our little town has a few stories that don’t stay buried quite as well as the others.

Ghost investigations. Strange stories. Historic buildings. Disasters. Old Route 66.

And enough local lore to make us wonder...

Sapulpa’s history was built with more than oil and railroads. By the mid-1920s, **two brick plants and four glass plants** had helped turn our town into a bustling community of about 20,000.

Next time you’re downtown, take a look at the old buildings. That’s a piece of the boom years still standing right here at home.
