This is for you solar doubters. I realize solar and electric cars are not for everyone. If you are in the north, maybe not the best choice. Here's my story. 3 years ago we got toof top solar. We have not had a bill for electristy, heat, air conditioning (if we needed it) or car gas. I recently returned from a 4.000+ mile cross country trip to aur annual Davenport Ia. swapmeet. I took our new ford MachE electric Mustang. There was no time more than 50-75 miles between chargers and usually many more. My best range is 320 miles, but you should operate between 20-80% of the battery. I charged on average every 200 miles, charging times were between 10-25 munites taking 30-50 KWH, costing $20-40 average. The total cost was about 1/2 of what I wsually spend on gas . This car is a real pleasure to drive, it's the most high performance and the most advanced car I have ever had. It has all the latest safety eqiopment including limited self driving. When dirving at home I always charge at home for no cost. Like I said before, this isn't for everyone, but it sure works for me!
