The Santa Cruzer - Beach & Downtown Shuttle

The Santa Cruzer - Beach & Downtown Shuttle $1 per ride from the beach to downtown on weekends & holidays 12-8pm from Memorial Day - Labor Day. The trolley runs continuously every 30 minutes.

Catch a ride on Santa Cruz’s colorful replica trolley with real wood benches and wood and brass trim inside and out. It’s the best way to get back and forth between the beach and downtown and avoid parking and traffic. While the trolley has a 1930s look, it is ADA compliant and operates on compressed natural gas. The trolley runs weekends and Holidays during the summer from noon to 8:00 pm, with s

tops downtown at the historic Del Mar Theater, Locust Street Garage, and the Sanctuary Exploration Center. And costs just 25 cents to ride!

☀️Here’s the perfect summer weekend itinerary:

Park and stroll Downtown Santa Cruz (we dare you to find your new favorite shop or restaurant!), then hop on the Santa Cruzer at the Del Mar Theatre or Locust St. Garage and get dropped off by the beach!

Take advantage of convenience and check out the Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center (where you’ll be dropped off at the beach, it’s free!), the head across to the Santa Cruz Wharf and find yourself something good to eat or a cool Santa Cruz souvenir. Don’t forget to check out the sea lion viewing holes at the end of the wharf! And last but not least, take some time to get your toes in the sand 😍
