California Inland Region, Porsche Club of America The California Inland Region (CAI) is a charted region of the Porsche Club of America, Inc. It is part of the PCA's Zone 8 area. Activities.

CAI region was formed in 1986 and is made up of PCA members from Bishop to Santa Clarita. California Inland Region is part of the Porsche Club of America. The Porsche Club of America, is a national organization of over 40,000 Porsche owners dedicated to the enjoyment and improvement of their cars. We have a tremendous wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm in our local region. To join PCA visit the national web at http://www.pca.org. The California Inland region of PCA, holds at least one driving event and a social meeting once each month. Members can attend as many or as few events as they wish. We also publish a quarterly newsletter to keep our membership informed about our activities, news and technical advice. There are also events available through other regions in the area. There is nothing like driving along on a tour and have the sweeper of the group tell you your car is leaking something. Then the "check coolant:, came on. Luckly, we were able to pull over. All the coolant from the Boxter was pouring out on the ground. Jim Goud pulled over with us. There is no cell service in the middle of Walker Basin. There was a group of people a little way from us who were at the Rankin Ranch. They offered us thier landline and a cool place to sit. David called our insurance and they contacted a towing place.

After an hour later the towing place called and said they couldn't get anyone out until the next day. What to do? The staff said we could stay as long as we need. Then they offered us lunch. We insisted on paying. It was very good.

After lunch David and Jim decided to go back to our house in California City, not a short trip to get our truck and trailer. Jim drives a Cayman that only sits two. I ended up sitting in a very nice rec room for 4 and half hours. Of course I had my kindle. The staff keep checking to see if I need anything.

David returned with our truck and trailer and we got the Boxter around 8:30 home. Thank goodness for the Rankin Ranch and their staff. We also meet the owners, Bill and Glenda. The ranch has been in thier family for 150 years. Very one at the Ranch was so nice. We plan on returning again. It has 7 cabins with 2 rooms in each. Beautiful place to go and get away from a busy life style for a weekend. We didn't see the cabins. They have all kinds of activities.

I also want to thank John Quick along with Barbara and John Ament who retun to make sure we were okay. And thank Barbara for her big hug. It helped.
