STOCK MOTOR Focus RS makes 450whp!

Mike's stealth grey Focus RS here may be his only car for now, but he isn't afraid to let her eat!

We stretched this stock engine as far as we felt comfortable with on this dyno with a simple and effective setup (NX2/XDI/E30). This net us with 80whp gains over a stock turbo car even with full bolt-ons and pump gas. It simultaneously reduced the stress on the connecting rods by pushing the powerband farther into the rev range.

If any of my Fiesta ST clients are ready to turn their car up a level, I've got a BRAND NEW Turbo Technics S280 kit with Turbosmart internal wastegate actuator looking for a home for under MSRP. 👀

It is strongly recommended to use an upgraded intake, intercooler, and downpipe with this kit. This turbo is capable of 275-300whp on 93 octane with just the mods mentioned above (100whp more than stock or tuned cars) represented by the green line. Add XDI HPFP/injectors and E40 ethanol mix and see upwards of 350whp/355wtq (red line). 💪

We capped this turbo out on my personal car after adding upgraded MAP sensors and using E50 fuel at 370whp/370wtq. 55,000 miles and 4 years later, she is still ripping and driven almost every day! 🚀

This is the best bang-for-buck modification for any Fiesta ST in my opinion. Hit me up if you are serious about joining the club. It's here until it's gone! 😎

John's 2016 Ta**us SHO (365hp/350tq) was throwing some camshaft/timing correlation codes and with a referral from another shop, he reached out! We looked over the car together and decided it was worth the investment to fix the car in it's current condition (with 120,000 miles).

These cars have a chain-driven waterpump that hides behind the timing cover that are known to destroy the engine as the coolant leaks into the oil pan. We did a full timing job (chains, guides, tensioners, phasers, valve covers, VCT solenoids, seals, and an oil change) along with a new waterpump, serpentine belt, and serpentine tensioner. All OEM Ford parts were used of course.

Everything went smooth on the test drive and with no leaks found afterward, next up is a set of upgraded spark plugs (so he can tune if desired) and a PTU fluid drain/fill.

Almost time to put humpty dumpty here back together again this Winter. This time with less weight, a safer chassis, and a stronger engine for the 2027 season. Dyno from September 2025.

Larry's GT350 was back at the shop last week for a rear o2 sensor replacement that threw a CEL just hours before one of his race sessions. A quick message to me put him at ease as I gave him the green light to hammer down as his specific code would not hinder engine operation and another successful track day was had!

Even a simple sensor replacement is a great opportunity to give a dedicated machine like this a thorough visual inspection or "nut-and-bolt" check between events to keep it safe and operating at 100 percent. I installed a McLeod ceramic twin disk on this car a couple months ago and it has been handling the abuse at events all Summer!

It's hard to dislike one of these cars in my opinion.

Joseph recently purchased this Focus RS and asked me to give it a once-over and an oil change along with a quote for anything questionable found.

Excessive play in the LF hub, leaks from the PTU, worn rear brakes, a P0420 code, and some overdue maintenance items were a few things that caught my eye. I broke down the cost of each and listed them by priority and he decided to have me handle everything at once.

Upon removing the subframe to perform some of the approved work, I found the hardware between the turbo/downpipe loose, the gasket blown out, the PTU heat shield completely missing, and the axle threads absolutely annihilated... Whoever was in here before obviously did not take much pride in their work. 😂

Obviously additional parts/labor were required here, but this car will leave in much better shape than it arrived in. I'm ecstatic to have the ability to return some of these cars to their former glory.
