We often get asked about the warranty on our residential window films. You will be happy to know that it comes with a lifetime warranty! This covers any failure, color change, discoloration, or optical clarity issues. Some warranties even cover glass breakage. The film is scratch-resistant and will last a long time, as long as you follow one golden rule: avoid ammonia-based cleaners like standard glass cleaners. Ammonia breaks down the tint material over time. Instead, we recommend cleaning your tinted windows with 70% rubbing alcohol and a paper towel. It works perfectly and keeps your warranty intact!

A common question we hear is whether window tint will make a bathroom too dark for your daily routine. In this recent installation, we used Slate 40, a 40-percent shade window film for a bathroom window. It is half as dark as the film used in the home's bedroom, striking a perfect balance.
This lighter film is fantastic because it cuts down on heat, harsh glare, and harmful UV rays without completely blocking the sun. This means you still get plenty of accurate, natural sunlight for tasks like applying makeup or shaving. You do not have to sacrifice a cool, comfortable room to keep the natural lighting you need. Reach out if you have questions about finding the perfect shade of window tint for your home!

We get asked all the time about the tools we use to get that perfect, flawless window tint. A lot of people see our spray nozzles and tanks and want to know what kind of magic solution is inside.
The truth? It is just water and a little bit of soap!
We keep this mixture in a pressurized tank that uses air pressure to give us a continuous spray. One of the most important features of our setup is the dual filtration system. We have a filter at the tip of the nozzle and another at the tank inlet. This ensures absolutely no debris gets through the water and onto your window film.
And for those with a sharp eye, yes, that is the exact same type of tank used for home-brewing beer! But please, do not ask us for a sip. We promise it does not taste like hops.

We get asked all the time: "How long does it actually take to tint my home's windows?" For an average 2,000 square foot house, you can typically expect a same-day turnaround. Our team usually arrives around 9:00 AM and wraps up between 3:00 and 4:00 PM.
However, every home is unique, and certain factors can extend the installation time. The most time-consuming feature? French windows. Because every single small square requires the same amount of time and precision as one large standard window, a door or wall of French panes will take significantly longer. High, hard-to-reach windows can also add to the timeline. In our experience, the longest jobs take about three days, but we always provide a custom, on-site estimate so you know exactly what to expect.

Customers often ask us how glass texture affects window tint. The answer is surprisingly simple to test yourself.
We use the fingernail test. Just run your fingernail over the glass. If your nail catches on a small groove or tick, that is technically a scratch, and it will be visible through the window film. If the glass just has a very mild texture that is hard to feel with your nail, the tint will apply perfectly fine.
Most clear glass has a slight, natural texture from manufacturing, and our films are designed to work seamlessly with it. If you are unsure about the condition of your windows, reach out to our team. We are always here to ensure you get the best possible finish for your space.

Why do we spend so much time scraping your windows before applying window film? It might seem like an extra step, especially on new windows, but it is the secret to a flawless installation.
You cannot take the glass for granted. At first glance, a window might look perfectly clean. But once we start prepping the surface, we almost always find hidden debris, tiny specks of dirt, or leftover adhesive from shipping and manufacturing labels.
If we apply window film over these imperfections, they will be magnified and look horrible. We meticulously scrape every inch, especially right in the middle where your eye naturally rests. Our goal is a crystal-clear finish so perfect that you will not even be able to tell there is a film on your glass.

This was a fun one. We used Panorama CX 50 ceramic window film in this conservatory to increase the performance of the glass without taking away from the spectacular garden views. CX is a great option for those wanting a natural non-reflective appearance.

One of the most common questions we get about window tinting is how we handle the water used during installation. During the application process, we use a specialized squeegee tool we call "the plow." Its main job is to push out as much water as possible from between the new film and the glass. Squeezing this water out is a crucial step because it allows the adhesive to properly set to the window.
While a tiny bit of moisture might be left behind to naturally cure over time, using this tool ensures your windows have excellent optical clarity right from day one. We always finish up by carefully drying the edges with a paper towel and an edge tool. This prevents any dirty water from trailing back down into your fresh tint, giving you a clean, factory-grade finish every time.
